Pros
you get paid biweekly, the other mid levels (PA/NPs) are nice.
Cons
You are not respected as a provider or as a human being here. They tout they are a "Summit Family" but you will be treated as anything but. There is no communication about your role, what you will be doing the next day. If there is, it constantly changes. If you do not do what you are told, you are called inflexible. There are a few really great surgeons here, but 95% of them are rude, demeaning, and overwork you. You will gain no respect from them. You are underpaid for the work you do. Leadership cares only about their wallets, they do not care about you AT ALL. Really you have no idea who "leadership" is. You are never asked for your input, and if you are it is just words. You are surrounded by a plethora of new PA's straight out of Bethel PA program that have no idea what they are doing. The mid-level providers receive minimal training here which puts patient care in jeopardy. It is overall extremely disorganized. Most of the PAs stay for about 6 months to a year and leave because they realize their job here is awful. Lot's of gossip and cliques within all tiers of organization. Some people who you thought were your friends one day, will stab you in the back the next day and think nothing of it. Unprofessional and often times negative work environment. DO NOT WORK HERE.
