Good place to work.

Pros

Steady work, although hours are not guaranteed in the assembly dept. Compensation for entry-level positions is on the low-end, but benefits are pretty decent. Most of the managers and supervisors are very personable. Plenty of opportunity for advancement.

Cons

Seasonal layoffs due to customers shutting down for major holidays, though the company does generally compensate you for much of the time. Some supervisors enjoy playing favorites and/or instigating conflicts between subordinates. Some nepotism where candidates are clearly not qualified for their position, yet are hired and remain working even after multiple instances of incompetence. Higher paying hourly positions are overwhelmingly male-dominated.

Cons

I’d like to sum this review up in 13 words of a former colleague “Summit is a place you go if you want your soul to die.”
