      Pros

      Some very caring people. People like to volunteer and help others. Gym on site. Shuttle from Riverside. Nature trails nearby for nice walks.

      Cons

      Very, very intense politics and aggressive behaviors create a stressful work environment. Hiring decisions and promotions can be based on relationships, not necessarily abilities. There is a strong feeling of distrust toward people with any professional experience.

      Pros

      I have worked for other large (even bigger than Sun Life) Fortune 100 insurance and financial companies, and none of the companies have benefit packages close to what Sun Life offers. Employee benefits is SOLELY their business in the U.S., so it's no surprise the superior benefits that are offered. For those who claim salaries are not competitive; you get what you negotiate. I worked for a company praised for "competitive" salaries, and I make 25% more at Sun Life.

      Cons

      The U.S. headquarters is not a fancy building. To be named as the U.S. headquarters, I expected a top-notch facility.
