      Pros

      -Excellent work/life balance (40 hours per weeks, flexible with dentist/doctor appointments) -Some people are excellent to work with, other people not so much -Pay is competitive if you are coming right out of college

      Cons

      -Rotations may actually function to limit your career growth early on, as more benefits/compensation come from specialists with strong technical skills, not from generalist track -You may have very tedious rotations in group insurance

      Pros

      Great place to learn. Great benefits and pay. Work is not hard. Nice people.

      Cons

      All the really talented people have left. No career advancement unless you're in Canada. Talk a lot about diversity, but let great people of color walk out the door.

      Pros

      - Fair to midland 9-5 hours. Reasonable workload even during busy season. Very clearly layout promotion/structure. - Opportunity to transfer to different businesses and even location. - Fair compensation. But highly dependent on performance of the company.

      Cons

      - Passing SOA exam is a must. Those who cannot progress through the exam system will be forced to leave the actuarial program or demoted. - In some cases, promotion opportunity may be limited to how fast your manager is promoted - Ideal positions are usually taken up internally before an external posting. Outside hires should inquire with friends before applying
