Pros

Resources of large bank has its advantages. Also, different lines of business offer opportunities for advancement that smaller banks may not.

Cons

Incentive plan is not competitive with peers. Compensation is generally very poor, and raises are capped even if you get a promotion.

Pros

Being a Teller teaches you to manage conflicts well and deal with stressful situations. It also offers a chance to serve clients and help them with their finances. Full benefits even for part-time tellers. Teller is a great part-time job during college or high school but would make for a somewhat boring career in my opinion.

Cons

Management is a bit weak. Performance goals are set but there's a lot of lip service and the truth is often obscured. A good number of rude customers are often difficult to deal with. Poor employees can stick around for way too long.
