Pros

Great benefit. One of the few companies with 401K and retirement benefits. I will recommend Suntrust to anyone. Good luck.

Cons

This company has many processes and procedures that must be followed before any application can be released to production. Sometimes it could be frustrating.

Pros

If you are looking to build a book of business for a future as an independent advisor then this would be a suitable route to take.

Cons

With the bank as big brother you are the child that nobody wants to take responsibility for and are expected to step in line when asked. STIS is not treated like a brokerage firm at all and in fact you are expected to consider a priveledge to even step foot in the bank. You are expected to do what the bank wants when they want it and anything investment oriented is considered risky or second-class
