Pros

For health benefit package, business connections, and experience. If you can make it in an environment where you are micro-managed, you can make at SunTrust.

Cons

I worked for Corporate. Management never communicated except to complain about fees. No promotions or rewards for excellent work. No training of employees, you learn it yourself fast or drown. They changed your job title, salary, and working conditions with the changing of management. My title change three times. At the end I was doing the work of four people and my reward was to be let go six months before I would VESTED into the SunTrust pension plan. That's their way of saving money.

Pros

Banker hours and holidays Good 401 k match Good maternity benefits Great co workers not allowed to work more than 40 hours if assistant manager and lower, which means a flex schedule and one day a week you are off at 3

Cons

Extreme micromanagement, each morning must turn in a daily plan with everyone you are going to call, at lunch they see where you have done thus far, at end of day you go over each name, what you said and how you will be better tomorrow. Not much thought involved in job, just pushing paper and dealing with people that are upset about fees extremely understaffed,
