Pros

A paycheck if nothing else is available. They are a good possibility to be bought out. Lots of work has been outsourced.

Cons

Lack of respect and recognition of the employees. Very poor raises, lame excuses as to why. You pay to park at their building. You must commit yourself to the job (I.T. dept.). You will work many/most weekends and be called frequently at night, even if you're not on call.

Pros

It is good that we have comprehensive benefits, including a solid 401k match program. Also, although the pension plan was reduced, it still exists. Beyond that, it is a solid company performing well in a struggling industry in a difficult time. Senior Management has regularly communicated a strong long term plan to try to keep the employees at ease. While there seems to be bad news throughout the industry, besides being guilty by association, there doesn't appear to be much in the way of SunTrust specific bad news.

Cons

The employee morale seems low at this point. Because of job eliminations, folks throughout the Bank are being asked to do more with less.
