      Pros

      So far so good. Good training, decent pay, but the top-notch benefits really sweeten the deal. Still fairly new to the company but I've heard nothing but good things and the atmosphere is comfortable and welcoming. In this economy nobody wants to be even remotely near the sub-prime mess and Suntrust managed to do its homework and distance itself from the financial sinkhole.

      Cons

      Commuting, sea of paperwork, and Saturdays for some unlucky souls. Typical grievances, but right now many unfortunate, qualified professionals would happily trade unemployment for a stable job.

      Pros

      Good place to start a career. Excellent training program.

      Cons

      People are very protective of their knowledge - like their jobs are aways on the line. Have watched some GREAT people get canned instead of less competent people who happen to be better connected.

      Pros

      The benefits package available when I was with the company in 2006 were very good. SunTrust has a strong 401k match and a pension plan. The people in Raleigh were friendly and willing to share knowledge as needed. The company is also willing to pay for graduate level programs for its employees.

      Cons

      General bank buerocracy - too many meetings and systems that must be used. It would be interesting if the company offered stock options at lower levels. I never felt very busy - spent way too much time surfing the web.
