      A (Strong) Culture of Confusion

      Pros

      SunTrust's culture is genuinely designed with the customer's best interest in mind, unlike other large banks. They base their entire approach around meeting clients' needs and moving them to financial confidence.

      Cons

      SunTrust has a strong tendency to bring in people from some of the largest banks in the world and adopt their approaches to increasing the bottom line, this unfortunately leads to the message of moving clients to financial confidence getting lost in the drive for ever higher sales numbers.

      Pros

      The work life balance is awesome. Forty hour weeks, Monday to Friday. Weekends off. Co worker are like family. Insurance, 401k and discounts on many things outside the bank.

      Cons

      likes to switch up their manager instead of increasing their pay. By doing this, the entire demeanor, enthusiasm and happiness of the team goes out the window. I've seen an entire team break before my eyes because of bringing in bad managers. Compensation is terrible compare to the work you put in. You get your payout two months after every quarter and it's usually less than $1000 for 3 months of hard work.

      Bank holidays, decent PTO, fair salary

      Cons

      Upper management is 'out to lunch' and the 6 layers between you and them couldn't get an accurate message from 1 to the other, if it was spit in their face.
