Pros
401k, teammate affinity/diversity groups, annual volunteer day at charity of your choice, tuition reimbursement, many dedicated and motivated front-line teammates who give their best.
Cons
The culture at SunTrust is unhealthy and, in some areas, toxic. Senior leaders and mid-level managers are out of touch with everyday operations and the teammates who deliver; their focus is on self-promotion and associated bonuses, with fear-based management practices the norm. Leadership qualities, when present in an individual, are overshadowed by other leaders with bigger egos and louder voices. Being valued as a contributing teammate is not the foundation of SunTrust, as evidenced in the paltry annual raises, lack of recognition, and feigned commitment to teammate engagement. There simply does not seem to be a balancing energy to the overwhelmingly negative culture.
