Pros

Employee feedback is requested, and managers are expected to act on it. There are not always consequences for not doing so however. Company asks for preferences on benefits before implementing.

Cons

There are still many managers who are technically proficient but who are inept or awkward in leading people. This is especially true of leaders who were prior consultants.

Pros

Pay was stellar, it was my first banking job and I was payed pretty well also considering I was part-time. Hours we obviously good, work was normal for any bank.

Cons

Completely under appreciated and almost hated by my manager despite consistent hard work and good sales. Suntrust managers have almost ZERO accountability in their branches and can for the most part run it completely on their own. Hiring and firing and demoting as they please. It is a luck of the draw whether you will get a good manager or a bad manager. As you can tell I got the worst of the worst. Also there was really no way for me to move up. I understand I was part time but I always showed interest in moving up in the company from where I was if only given the opportunity I would have gone full time in a heart beat.

Pros

Benefits are great, but the manner in which the organization is run is not. This is different depending on which department you work in.

Cons

Lack of adequate staffing, lack of adequate technology for those doing the work, lack of pay increases or very minimal, lack of bonuses, but always told how well the company is doing. Those gains do not accrue to its employees paychecks which is where most people want to see it.
