Pros

I was employed by First National and felt very fortunate to have such a great work environment. However, most people voluntarily left once the company was acquired by Sunflower.

Cons

It’s hard to take an organization seriously when its CEO was arrested twice during the merger process. To make matters worse, there was no apology to the company after her second arrest (which happened on company time while she was traveling for work). Talk about a morale killer. Bonuses were eliminated for non-sales and executive positions and benefits became more expensive for worse coverage.

Pros

I worked with a few fantastic people and I learned quite a lot.

Cons

Management. In short, awful. Make sure you get a job description and hold on to it. They will hire you to perform a set of duties and berate and belittle you for not performing items that were not mentioned on that job description and were never brought up during an interview. I was hired to perform the job duties of a system administrator, then was written up for not performing the job duties of a developer and a project manager. There is no vacation here. You can technically be "on vacation", but you will be expected to check and answer your emails.

Pros

I can’t list anything they do well.

Cons

Everything and anything. This company does not care about their employees. The salary is too low in comparison to similar locations, and they will provide little to no training but will expect you to succeed and be perfect within days of being hired. Otherwise, you’re scrutinized for “not taking good enough notes” or that you weren’t paying attention, or just that you don’t care. They threaten performance plans if anything is done slightly different than how they want it done, even if the work is correct, and they will not hesitate to throw you under the bus the minute something goes wrong. They will fire you the minute you put your resignation in, even if it hurts the team.
