*Finding someone in a leadership position that is qualified or capable of making smart strategic decisions is hard to come by (hence the current position of the company). *Individuals that are capable of moving the company forward often leave for better positions at competing assisted living companies or left as a result of the multiple lay-offs. Leaving those individuals who are under qualified or uneducated to move up in the ranks. *Many of the processes and policies are antiquated or overcomplicated in nature making it unnecessarily difficult to complete day-to-day tasks. *Every organization has some amount of politics going on within in the office, but the politics and game playing going on at Sunrise seem to be worst then most. Probably a result of the multiple lay-offs and the "every man for himself" attitude you must posses to get by.
