Like others have previously mentioned, the CEO lets the company down. (It's worth noting that if you don't have to deal with him directly, you'll probably have a nice time working here). I could spend a long time explaining why this is the case, but for brevity, I'll bullet point a few key issues:
- He's a bully, and seemingly enjoys making others feel small and intellectually inferior to him
- He's short tempered and won't hesitate to shout or swear at you if you make a small, albeit fixable, mistake
- He thrives off a culture of fear and seems to only be comfortable when he's established some sort of hierarchal power over you
- His opinions change constantly. He'll ask you to do something one way, then angrily question you when you've done it
- Claims to value 'people' but in reality only cares about the bottom line
- Micromanages to the extreme
Conclusion:
I second the review left on 16th Sep 2019. Couldn't say it any better than that really. It is, indeed, a shame.
