Pros

Pay was decent for what the job was.

Cons

Extremely unprofessional, was hired on for one contract and was told a day before I was expected to start that the contract had been cancelled. I was quickly put into a new one which was fine, but Sutherland was clearly not prepared for this contract and most of our training days were spent listening to the trainers and employees flirt with each other, cuss out their kids, and joke around on a WebEx call. We were then thrown into the pit with very little training and expected to wing it. I quit on them after two weeks because tech could not get me signed into the programs I needed signed into. I spent two weeks being told they were working on it and never got logged in. If you want to work for a company that pays you to do nothing for two weeks, then by all means go for it. Just don’t expect them to be helpful when you are actually put into production.

Zero Work/Life Balance

Pros

Lots of opportunities to grow from within, they definitely promote that. Management and even Senior Management are very approachable.

Cons

Micro-managing is the name of the game. Employees are numbers and no more than that. Agents can only use the bathroom on their breaks, management sees absolutely no problem with that. Communication between other departments is abysmal. Absolutely no respect for work/home life balance. They constantly say, "this is not a 40 hour a week job", but they pay you for a 40 hour a week job. Completely unorganized. I could go on and on, but I won't because I'm exhausted from working here. If you have a college degree, I promise you can do better than working at this company.

Pros

The training was very thorough but because the job required a wide variety of knowledge , there was a lot I wasn’t prepared for . My manager wasn’t reliable or helpful and finding the correct answers quickly was extremely difficult. There was one evening I had to stay after because a call ran long and my manager didn’t include my time for that .

Cons

Too much pressure Calls are back to back for most of the day They care too much about how long each call takes
