      Sutter is only as good as your Manager

      Pros

      Pay was decent and competitive. Great benefits and a great retirement plan. I worked with nice people. There would have been great advancement opportunities had I stayed.

      Cons

      I started as a contractor and was offered a job. When I was a FTE, my Manager changed. I would have never accepted had I known who my manager was going to be. Close minded and unskilled in what her subordinates did. She was unable to advise us on any aspect of our job. She made Sutter absolutely unbearable. She buckled from the pressure of MD's who wanted it fixed immediately, even if nothing was broken.

      Great Northern California company. Very traditional approach to the market.

      Cons

      Sutter is in year two of a major restructuring, with new leadership across the board, and still reliant on a hospital-centric business model.

      Pros

      Some truly amazing and wonderful people work for this company, but none are in leadership positions. Genuinely good and talented people leave the company all the time, for no other reason than disgust unfortunately.

      Cons

      Management is sadistic, corrupt, and contemptuous of employees. My department experienced a turn-over rate of around 30% every year. With few exceptions, each person left in utter disgust - several just walked out without another job secured. I will never work for a company this evil again.
