Pros

Pay is good (not enough pay for what I had to go through)... benefits are also good!

Cons

I worked on a small team that pushed all the work down to me... they would talk and go out to 2 hour lunches while I was extremely over worked and stressed. The management was so awful and didn't notice the huge difference in work load and still pressured ME over everyone else to get the other people's work done. It was very high school (the "cool kids" got to do whatever they wanted and I was always given the work load). No one deserves to be treated like I did and NO amount of money could bring me back. My advice to anyone wanting to get a job... try to avoid this Sutter. It's sad, but true.

Pros

+ Stable employer (no history of layoffs) + Good advancement opportunities from company's steady growth (especially in Utah) + Coworkers are knowledgeable and helpful + Good training program for supervisors and managers + CEO holds regular Q&A sessions with employees + Company goals are clear

Cons

- Wages and benefits are somewhat less generous than the rest of Sutter Health - Senior management is much less diverse than the company as a whole - Little investment in professional development for middle and upper management - Department level and individual goals could be more clear - CEO is a micro-manager so decision making can be slow and middle managers can't exercise independent judgment and develop as managers - Agree with an earlier commenter that the CEO has a bullying management style

Pros

The people who work at Sutter are nice, for the most part and care about the mission of the organization.

Cons

Sutter has been undergoing a redesign for over a year and it has been poorly executed.
