      They are in financial trouble. My dept was sold to prevent lay offs.

      Pros

      The medical, dental and vision are all free, including dependents.

      Cons

      Greedy senior leadership, which resulted in a law suit being brought by the CA attorney general Xavier Bacera. The case was settled for $575 Million dollars. Then we took another $500 Million in losses during the COVID year 2020. Ever since the settlement, this hospital has been cutting jobs left and right. It is now very stressful in the non clinical settings. My department was sold to R1 revenue cycle in November of 2022. After 10 years of service, I now only have 1 year of contracted employment.

      Full Time, Day shift, Monday through Friday, Remote - work from home

      Cons

      Hourly not competitive starting from 16.50 per hour to 19.50 per hour DOE. You must be skilled to mange all of the applications at once. 2 Monitors and headset. The changes come daily, we verify insurance, request referrals, request medication refills, message providers, basically 1 person operation and there is about 150 of us from CA, AZ, UT, AR. The pay seems low for all we have to go through. Quality program needs modernization to be patient centered and not box checked.

      Location and co-workers, learning opportunities.

      Cons

      Management, culture, mediocre quality of testing, favoritism, shared lab is the worse affiliate in Sutter network (incompetent supervisors and managers) upper management has no clue, the blind is guiding the blind. Management is a joke I truly feel bad for Sutter patients. I currently work for the shared Lab and I would not want my specimen to be tested there.
