Good company to start career in Healthcare industry

Pros

The company treats you well, there are plenty of opportunities to transfer to if you desire and career development is encouraged. They are progressive in improving processes and patient care as well as leveraging the latest technology to achieve those goals.

Cons

Career laddering within departments needs to be improved as well as making hourly/salaries more competitive. Pay elsewhere seems to be higher when comparing salaries with other healthcare organizations.

S3 filled with Nordstrom employees

Pros

Know the right people get far.

Cons

Unless your a former Nordstrom employee, or you know the right person in management you won't get far. The agents hired in the S3 contact center don't have any experience. They call themselves HR but they staff people who don't even have degrees, much less experience in HR. When they mistakenly hire people capable of doing the job, they harass them. Movement is based on favorites not merit. They claim to care about customer service but really it's about getting the bottom of the barrel Nordstrom employees.
