Pros

Sutter Physician Services is a great company that offers many great benefits to its employees including tuition reimbursement, medical and dental insurance and PTO.

Cons

The department that does billing for home health and hospice is poorly run. The manager plays favorited with certain employees while overworking everyone else. She won't promote from within even though some employees are more qualified than outside candidates. The turnover rate is crazy as they lose an employee almost every week, including supervisors. The manager also has no idea how to admit when she is wrong and will humiliate the employees that try to explain it to her. In addition, employees are underpaid in comparison to other departments and employers for the work they do.

Pros

Work life balance is great. Competitive compensation and benefit package. Open/equal career development growth opportunities. Advance educational and training options. Overall a friendly place to work at.

Cons

Lower to middle management seems incompetent. Lack of vision and leadership skills. Need more racial diversity in upper management. Need more flexibility to keep talented people around.

Pros

Competitive pay, some flexibility on hours, some room for advancement. Lots of little gifts and freebies, like water bottles and pens. Cafe on-site for daytime workers at the Legacy building in West Valley.

Cons

Major expanding happening with little to no compensation in hiring new employees to compensate for how much work or adjusting pay for increased responsibilities. When I started, I was taking a call maybe every twenty minutes and now it is non-stop. I work after hours, so the calls are very emotionally and mentally draining. It is very easy to get burned out. For a part-time job, there is not a lot of wiggle room for missing work no matter the circumstances. All hours need to be made up or covered by accrued PTO hours (PTO hours take a long time to get after-hours as well). Working after-hours will mean better pay, but also more intense work and you are required to work most holidays-even major holidays.
