Pros

There are often very good people who work for the company that WILL fight for you. You do get a 50% discount on the products. The stores are a visually beautiful environment. Great if you’re into learning about the company’s history.

Cons

Consistently takes advantage of part-time employees. Part-timers will be pressured to take on responsibilities way above their pay grade, such as training new employees for management or showing up at 3 in the morning to reset the store layout. Incorrect pay is a recurring problem as is ‘accidentally’ not being paid your commission bonuses. People above store management level have no clear concept of what actually goes on in the stores and have unrealistic expectations that can never be met. Scheduling issues mean you will often be alone in the store for hours without the ability to take a break or go to the bathroom unless you want to close the entire store (which is heavily frowned upon by upper management). Transparency about pay is non-existent and it is very likely that coworkers will have vastly different hourly wages. The work culture there dissuades you from discussing this presumably so employees don’t discover how big the gap is. Upon hiring, in my experience at least, we were promised multiple wage increases a year. Some unknown, vague changes occurred where that was no longer possible. The reasoning for this was never explained. Very little if any opportunity for advancement in the company. For an early part-time job for young people, this is probably good experience. You have to hold your own and stand up for yourself in this environment though because if given the chance, the company will take advantage of you.

Pros

The discount offered is good & the only thing worth.

Cons

The pay is horrible. They give you so many responsibilities like opening & closing the store, making deposits etc with a minimum wage salary.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We always aim to deliver a great experience, and we are disappointed when we don’t meet expectations. As for your concerns, we want to ensure you your review will be shared with upper management, as this kind of feedback is crucial to the improvement of the company. Building a culture of teamwork and collaboration is important to us at Swarovski. Equally important to us, is to make each individual employee, from our stores to our corporate offices, feel that they belong.
