Hard work for CNA's

Pros

As soon as I started working here, I felt much better about being a CNA. My last hospital (VM) made me feel like a worker bee. I was often talked down to and called upon to do simple tasks that anyone (especially a nurse) could perform, but because I'm a CNA, no one need be bothered with such a thing. At Swedish, you are among peers. There is a level of respect among staff here that is hard to find, you're recognized for the work you put in rather than the nature of the work you do.

Cons

We're often short staffed, at times I feel like I'm in a nursing home again. Tonight, I have 15 patients.

Pros

Great management team! Growth opportunities are plenty. Teamwork is also encouraged. A large number of classes are also offered throughout the year.

Cons

No cons at all. Amazing place to work. Building is located in downtown Seattle so the commute may be long for some employees.
