Pros

If you live near Newport, Costa Mesa and neighboring city then the commute isn't bad.

Cons

In my experience, the department’s communication style was very informal, which at times led to misunderstandings. I also felt that the training on internal software was limited, and I personally struggled with the file-management system, which uses automated naming conventions that I found vague and difficult to navigate. As a new hire, the pace and expectations felt high, and I sometimes felt there wasn’t much patience during the onboarding period. The overall team dynamic and leadership style did not match what I look for in a workplace, as I perceived the environment to be highly focused on maintaining a particular internal narrative, which contributed to a culture that didn’t feel supportive to me. While others may thrive there, it ultimately doesn't seem like the right fit for me.

Pros

Pay is solid. I enjoyed my team members.

Cons

The M.O. of the firm is runaway growth not unlike a cancer. Remember: always hiring = always firing. Any day you can be randomly moved or fired with no notice, even to the detriment of the team. I suspect it's somebody's job to constantly reconfigure their offices to justify their own inflated salary. They love doing this: Churning through new recruits, working them as much as they can, and fire them right before their onboard probation finishes.

Pros

• Great support system — attorneys, senior case managers, and leadership are accessible and willing to help. • Strong training and clear systems for learning PI workflows, even if you’re new to California cases. • Fast-paced environment that keeps you engaged and helps you grow quickly. • Opportunities for advancement for people who are proactive and willing to work hard. • Good case flow — steady volume of files so you always stay busy. • Clear procedures and structure which makes handling cases more efficient. • Team-focused culture where coworkers collaborate and share strategies. • Modern tools and software that make managing files, clients, and medical records smoother. • Leadership pushes you to grow and improve your skills, not just stay stagnant. • Strong brand reputation, which makes clients easier to work with and cases easier to manage.

Cons

• Learning curve for California systems, liens, and processes if you come from another state. • Systems and workflows are very structured, so people who prefer flexibility may struggle.
