Pros

Can purchase gear at company cost

Cons

Mandatory overtime for warehouse, sometimes reaching 65-70 hrs a week. Not a lot of upward mobility.

We're sorry this employee isn't happy with the wages in our Distribution Center. Our starting rate there is $10 an hour, with a bump to $10.25 after the first 90 days. That translates to 41% higher than the current minimum wage. Typically employees receive annual increases each spring. The company also provides a lot of unique amenities not found at other area Distribution Centers for all employees (see our Career center page to check these out: free Health Club with Personal trainer, racquetball court, indoor golf simulator, DVD lending library, Medical clinic, gaming room, an onsite restaurant, gourmet coffee shop, and hair salon, concierge services, etc. ) and we pride ourselves on treating employees well. Last year all employees enjoyed two Christmas parties, a company picnic, a free trip to Cedar Point Amusement Park, free minor league sports outings, and a free turkey for their family at Thanksgiving. Though it's correct that there was a significant amount of overtime during our peak shipping period between Thanksgiving and Christmas (which of course paid out at time and a half) it is not something that occurs year round. Last year nearly 20% of employees in the Distribution Center received some form of promotion to a higher paying position. ---Jeff McDonald, Senior VP of HR

Pros

Decent benefits, relaxed work environment, heat/ac, good vacation time, good employee discounts.

Cons

This is one of the lowest paying warehouses in the area, and you are forced to work long hours during the holidays. The warehouse does not receive the same perks as the sales engineers and the marketing team.

Please see the company's response to the other post about the Distribution Center dated January 25th that addresses our feelings about this issue. All employees enjoy the many amenities the campus provides. The only "perks" specific to the Sales Engineers have to do with Sales contests specific to that department and equipment Sales Engineers have access to take out on loan for purposes of learning product features and benefits to impart to our customers. We make no apology for that. Jeff McDonald, Senior VP of HR

Pros

Company has a lot of amentities such as being able to buy food from work, fitness center, and a music academy.

Cons

If working in warehouse I felt like it was a dead end job, not really much lateral career opportunities.
