Pros

This is a company that genuinely cares about our employees as well as our customers. There is a strong cultural undercurrent of doing the right thing and being good to people.

Cons

It's a busy place with a vibrant culture and lots of good ideas. Sometimes it gets hectic trying to keep up with everything going on.

Pros

Sweetwater has a uniquely welcoming culture. You’re surrounded by people from every background who all share a genuine passion for music, and the sense of community is real. The company invests heavily in its team with resources you don’t typically find in a workplace — on-site medical care, a full gym, wellness services, a salon, and plenty more that make day-to-day life easier. HR is outstanding; they’re engaged, supportive, and consistently focused on helping you succeed. To get the most out of working here, you have to lean into that culture — connect with others, get involved, and take advantage of the relationships and opportunities that grow naturally within it.

Cons

If there’s a downside, it’s that working inside a musical candy store requires Olympic-level willpower. You’re surrounded by world-class gear all day, and your paycheck will absolutely look back at you like, “Really? Another drum?” Other than the constant temptation to upgrade your setup, there isn’t much to complain about.

Pros

Great facility; meals, coffee, gym, dry cleaning, doctors office, nice bathrooms. hair salon, DVD & gear, rentals all on site. Super friendly co-workers that are easy to work with. Opportunities for advancement, office hours & meetings provide training and just overall great culture with fun events throughout the year. There are even discounts on local business you can get as well - love it here!

Cons

Hours and location - depending on your position you may be required to work late nights and weekends. I don't mind Fort Wayne but the winters are especially cold if you're not used to it. Again, depending on your role you will be required to have a lot of interactions with customers - most are positive but I have been talked to disrespectfully on the phone a few times. It takes a lot of extra hours in my position to succeed, but it is possible and our hiring class has done well. You must relocate but Sweetwater paid for my move which was a huge help.
