Pros

Awesome to be around gear non stop!! Company is a sales and marketing machine.

Cons

Sales and marketing is their expertise and business, the rest is hype, specifically controlled to furthur increase brand image and sales...drink their kool aid or else.

It's slightly difficult to respond to this review because it doesn't give many specifics. We carry 34,000 products from hundreds of vendors. In our view and apparently in the view of millions of satisfied customers, those products and brands do represent the best our industry has to offer. No retailer carries every brand and product that is made; we strive to carry great quality products from vendors who share our commitment to superior quality and customer service. Our brands don't "grease the company hands." If that were the case we would carry any number of our own private house brands that would provide a higher margin. We have chosen not to do so in order to be a great partner with our vendors. We're sorry this former employee wasn't happy here. Jeff McDonald, Sr. VP of Human Resources

Pros

Great benefits and plus's for being an employee.

Cons

The management. Upper and lower management. They do not pay attention to any conflict that may happen to the employees.

Please note this is a former employee who stuck around less than a year. The Pros listed above are "great benefits and plus's for being an employee." I have no idea who this is so have no idea what their issue was, but it's the same managers that are being criticized here who supplied the "Pros" listed above. I'd argue we are constantly paying attention to what employees have to say and issues they have. No company is perfect, but we try very hard to listen well and react to any conflicts that do arise. Pros

There is plenty of earning potential if you stick to it. The facility is amazing and offers lots of amenities.

Cons

The company is getting too large and losing it's culture. The industry is starting to become a race to zero.

We're not quite sure what "a race to zero" means in this post. Our company continues to enjoy double digit increases in sales year after year, and is currently growing at a rate of about 7000 new customers a week. We work extremely hard on keeping our company culture family friendly and individual performance in our sales department is tracked daily and transparent for all to see
