Pros

Great people on the sales floor but unfortunately the company as a whole does not value these individuals.

Cons

Low pay and benefits are praised by the community, but really aren't worthwhile. Very little opportunity for upward mobility.

Thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry to hear that you did not have a more positive experience with us. Regarding your comments about upward mobility, our employees earned 391 promotions in 2022. This was up 15% over the prior year. In addition, we offer free training programs and tuition reimbursement so employees can invest in their personal and professional growth. We've been very pleased to see just how many of our team members have been growing their careers at Sweetwater but we'll keep working to make even more opportunities available. - Jeff Ostermann, Chief People Officer

Pros

The people. Sweetwater is filled with excellent folks who are passionate about Music and the Music Industry. Most are eager to help others and take to heart our motto to "do the right thing". If you are a musician, the employee purchase program for gear is great. Overall benefits are okay. Health insurance is pricey, but there is lot's of choice of doctors in multiple networks. Having the diner and coffee shop on site is nice.

Cons

The pay could be a lot better. Being in a non sales, salaried position, the pay is not competitive based on the role. Sweetwater likes to remind us of the "low" cost of living in Ft. Wayne to offset the pay. While Ft Wayne does have a relatively low cost of living, inflation has definitely hit the region hard and pay has not kept up.
