Pros

I work in technology at Sweetwater. Companies go as their leaders go. Sweetwater has ideal team players at every level and engaged positive leadership. That's huge! There is a "vibe" or "positive energy" around Sweetwater. We succeed because we do the right thing for our employees, vendors, and customers. We also get to build our technology and are continuing to grow, finding new markets and products to bring the Sweetwater difference to. It's the best job I've ever had, and it is a place where you can build a lasting career at. There is a world of opportunity here; it's an exciting time to be at Sweetwater!

Cons

Not a con, but something that doesn't suit everyone is that Sweetwater is a fast-paced environment. We're moving with a sense of urgency in everything we do and strive to deliver value to our customers every single day.

Overall Great Employee Experience

Pros

I spent two decades of my career at Fortune 500 companies. The employee experience here at Sweetwater is comparable if not better than my previous employers. The company is growing at a rapid pace and plenty of opportunities for career growth, it is a good thing, it does take someone who is adaptable, agile, exceptional work ethic, and flexible to be successful regardless of one's role, that's a typical expectation at a high-growth company, public or private, from my experience. The benefits offered here at Sweetwater is also comparable to my previous employers, from the traditional benefits like 401K match, tuition reimbursement to free on-site clinic, free 24-hour access gym, on-site diners that prepares fresh meals daily (with employee discounts), employee discounts on gear and local businesses.

Cons

Technology debt, the lack of investment had created a lot of non-value added, busy tasks resulting in employee fatigue, this is changing though and that is part of growing.

Pros

Sweetwater is an absolutely incredible place to work. It would be impossible to list everything, but below are some of my favorite things: -Amazing people -Incredible facility/perks -Challenging & rewarding work; strong emphasis on Tech -Music and musicians everywhere -GREAT work/life balance with family-friendly environment -Big community impact and well known both in Fort Wayne and nationally

Cons

There are occasions where it seems like processes or tasks aren't always as planned out or organized as they could be. Some areas take a "do it and we will figure it out" mentality; and I think there is some area for improvement with this. No company is perfect and retail/eCommerce can have an especially hectic pace at times. I think Sweetwater manages it well - but there is some room for improvement.
