Pros

Everyone I worked with was very nice and there was a lot of opportunity for growth and we learned a lot especially during the training phase.

Cons

In the first few years, the schedules can change a lot as you transition from the training phase over to the first year of being a Sales Engineer to being a senior Sales Engineer years down the road so it may be hard to plan things around your work schedule at first.

Pros

This job is literally like running your own business and you will get out of it what you put into it. It’s an amazing opportunity. If you have a passion for problem solving and being challenged to be the best you can be, this gig may be good for you.. My business has grown exponentially since I’ve started. Because this is a commission based gig I’ve literally been able to give myself a raise every year I’ve been here by putting in the work. You have complete autonomy here and the support structure is second to none. This company is a solid and thriving machine with amazing growth potential.

Cons

There are a lot of hours into this.. if you want a normal 9-5 job this isn’t for you.

Pros

Upward mobility Awesome coworkers (go figure. Other musicians) I get to talk about musical equipment and instruments all day. Not bad This company really really cares about us. Some folks get caught up in minor details about what’s fair and what’s not, but I’m not sure if they’ve worked at many other mid-sized companies. This is a generous place full of generous people - and I’m able to offer that to my customers in turn. The model works. Not to mention the benefits and perks ain’t bad at all.

Cons

Long hours and a culture that encourages them Commission-based pay is a double edged sword and it takes years to reach a comfortable stability
