Pros

Has the frieght if you know what you're doing and can deliver on time. One of our biggest problems is drivers unable to deliver on time. Has plenty of terminals yet it seems like why go into one? Some are bertter than others, OKC ok to park but that is all but they have great people working there. PHX is big as alot going for it but fuel island sucks. Stay away from Laredo if trying to go west but that situations eems to be improving.

Cons

Unable to get you home when you really need to get home. Some(most)trainees have no clue what to expect out here then cry when they may have to do manual labor(sweep trailer clean, pull nails from floor, generally getting the trailer ready for their next load). Pay is average and after talking with Shnieder and Heartland. It seems Swift maybe alittle above average.

Pros

Usually got me home on time, or sometimes a couple of days prior to my requested date. The people who work in the office are usually nice and helpful. Trucks are newer on average. Plenty of terminals around the country which makes it a lot easier to find night parking. Therefore, you can sometimes avoid truck stops which are usually full at night. It's "new driver" friendly. They provide training and a job with relative ease. You can get lots of miles, and it is not unusual to ran out of hours.

Cons

Pay is lower than other companies on average. Training must be paid back if you don't work for them for at least a year. Sometimes you have to sit around for long periods of time without making any money. Whether, it is waiting for loads or waiting to be unloaded, and sometimes you just ran out of hours and have to sit it through (sleeping of course). However, I have experienced the same things in all other trucking companies that I have worked for thus far. It's just the nature of the beast.
