Thank you for your review and we're glad you're finding plenty of teaching opportunities with Swing. We are signing new school partners all the time, and plan to have more in New Jersey this year. -Michele at Swing Education

Pros

Swing Education provides excellent support to their substitute teachers by responding promptly and professionally. Of all the times that I had contacted them through the phone or email, they always responded right away and was able to provide assistance with professionalism and knowledge. They certainly make me feel like a valuable team member. Thank you!

Cons

There were lots of job opportunities pre-COVID and now there isn't many job opportunities yet. I am assuming because the schools have not completely open yet and school is out of session so maybe there will be more substitute opportunities after the summer session.

Thank you so much for your feedback on our customer support team. I'll share it with them and they'll be thrilled to hear it. Regarding the job opportunities, we are expecting a full return to school this fall, which means a ton of substitute teaching opportunities. Many schools are opening a little early this year so depending on where you live, jobs should be posted as early as August. We're looking forward to having you back in the fall. -Michele from Swing.

Pros

Flexibility to accept or reject jobs.

Cons

Pay is average or worse. You waste time on all the paperwork they don't want to do.

Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry you're not happy with being set up as a W-2 employee in California. Swing is required by law to hire all California substitute teachers as employees, so there is more paperwork in terms of applications and tax forms. However, you would be eligible for sick pay, unemployment insurance and other benefits. -Michele at Swing Education
