Pros

- Company has some amazing employees - Benefits are competitive; pay is low - Generally a good work environment, if you like to travel - Solid WMS product that spans technology which is a unique opportunity for the company

Cons

- German centric company controls products that are completely out of touch with the market requirements and slow to react - Long hours, low pay - US CEO has brought in high paying external VP's without considering those who built the company - Moral is low and Swisslog is in danger of collapsing as innovative competitors are taking market share. - Betting on AutoStore which is becoming a commodity, with little to replace the cash cow - Little to no innovation and new products do not meet dynamic market

Pros

Some of the most intelligent people I've ever worked with. Big shout out to the controls team and FSE's.

Cons

Mandatory 3 day in-office leaving some with upwards of 5 hours of daily commute. It feels like the new management has absolutely sucked out what little life this place had. Well below market compensation even after the much anticipated "market adjustment" "Culture" Lack of diversity in management

Thank you for taking the time to write a review about your experience of working at Swisslog. The decision to implement our Smart Working policy, which allows for three days in the office and two days remote, was made after considering feedback from both our colleagues and customers globally. As a project-based organization, we understand the importance of teamwork and collaboration in delivering exceptional service that sets us apart from our competitors. We believe that fostering relationships and building bonds among our team members is more effectively achieved through in-person interactions rather than 100% remotely. Additionally, we regularly review our pay grades to ensure fairness and equity, taking into account the current status of our Americas business operations. As a highly diverse organization, we strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where hiring and promoting employees is done with diversity and inclusion at the forefront of our decision-making process. With regards to the comments about expected excessive travelling times into the office, there seems to be some misunderstanding of what has been communicated. We do not expect employees who live this far to commute into the office as regularly as those who live locally i.e. a reasonable distance. We would strongly suggest that you confidentially contact HR to gain more clarity on the official policy and how this impacts you personally.

Pros

Work is always available New management seems to be trying to right a lot of wrongs Office environment is slightly better than other locations Training is getting a focus If you have an issue, peers are typically on your side to help Inclusive and welcoming Strong foundation and reputation, with intent to improve

Cons

New management is wronging a lot of rights Hybrid work schedule 3 office / 2 remote, even if you live across the HRBT and your commute could be anywhere from 50 minutes to 3 hours. (in office days less productive) Micromanagement from middle management, likely pressure from above Overly bureaucratic and process driven, resulting in wasted time with checking boxes instead of delivering products to a customer Lingering layoffs with middle management expected to fill roles that were lost (Likely market driven) pay raises recently less than inflation rate

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. As a project-based organization we recognize the importance of teamwork and cooperation in providing outstanding service that differentiates us from our competitors. We are firm believers that establishing strong relationships and connections within our team is best achieved through face-to-face interactions as opposed to a pure remote working environment. We are currently experiencing significant changes, especially in the Americas region, where we see promising opportunities for sustainable expansion. The input and experiences of our employees are highly valued as we navigate through these transformations. Change can be difficult, which is why we introduced the 'Be Heard' global engagement survey last year, ensuring that every employee's voice is heard. Our global leadership team, including the Americas president, is fully committed to driving the changes in the region, as we believe these adjustments will ultimately strengthen our organization as a whole. We appreciate your contribution to our team and your valuable perspective.
