Pros

A small handful of smart people, I think they try to be respectful of work/life balance. Acceptable compensation.

Cons

Egalitarian culture promotes mediocrity. People are not innovative. Management obsesses over useless busywork. They say they care about work/life balance, but they will crush you doing non value-added things.

I also value your input regarding pay and recognize that financial needs are unique to each person and their family. We review our compensation plans continually and we work to ensure that our benefits are meeting the needs of all of our employees. And in my three years with Symetra, I have seen several salaries increased if we find they are too low.
