We acknowledge that there are short periods of time where the needs of the business can be higher than usual. We encourage employees to work with their managers to schedule time off throughout the year, during less busy times, so they get well-deserved time off before end-of-year peak times.

The Symetra STD organization really prides itself on being an employer of choice in our industry. We intentionally maintain much lower than industry average case loads for pending and open claims to create more work life balance. Full remote and managers are beyond nice and helpful

Too strict and they micromanage your every move.

I was happy to read your comment about our managers being nice and helpful — that’s an important quality. If you’re feeling micromanaged, I encourage you to have a conversation with your manager about it. For example they might just be checking to be sure we are meeting our customer and/or compliance obligations. You are also encouraged to reach out to your aligned HR Business Partner with any concerns.
