I love reading positive comments about work life balance, especially from someone who works on a perpetually busy team. Symetra does its best to keep medical plan costs down, and offers a Health Savings Account that the company contributes to throughout the year, with a large portion frontloaded at the beginning of the year, to help with out-of-pocket expenses.

I’ve worked here for about two years, and the remote work flexibility is definitely a game-changer in the industry. We do also feel there is additional value to personal interaction and currently try to leverage optional team office days once a month. Management provides lunch on those days and teambuilding activities are often scheduled for those who are interested. Our team has been getting together in person more often, but everyone has the choice to connect virtually.
