Arrogance, nepotism, and horrible treatment of employees

Pros

The majority of lower level employees working there were nice and helpful. Many employees have managed to forge some sort of workplace culture in spite of the conditions

Cons

I wanted to run my car off the road every morning that I had to drive there. Non-existent training. Expect very long hours without the compensation to match. Management is largely composed of friends and relatives of the owner; nepotism is rampant, and rumors abound of affairs between executives and managers. Executives go to great lengths to assert their superiority and treat lower employees like garbage. Their "flat" management style just means that there is no clear direction for employees, despite having to answer to multiple bosses. But don't call them bosses!

Best showcase of Nepotism

Pros

None, absolutely none. They have a free coffee pot to keep the employees working. Some of the older employees are knowledgeable. The receptionist takes her best efforts to keep the atmosphere lively by having weekly games.

Cons

Join Synqor and instantly travel back to the 90s where people still work with pen and paper and virtual meetings are treated as Taboo so as to micromanage employees. Don't get fooled by the caricatures at reception, 70% of the employees have left the company. This is a family-owned business and your life will only be better if you are somehow connected to the family otherwise working here is unbearable. Managers and process owners will ensure that they demotivate you based on your inexperience to keep you under control and micromanaged. Extreme nepotism and partiality are the basic work culture. There is nothing else done or talked about except work. Synqor is the only company where HR is practically nonexistent but somehow has 2 people working. Suitable for people who don't want to express creativity and are ok with monotonous work with their heads down. No flexibility to WFH anytime even if you are sick, injured, or have any personal issues. Getting seen taking a break or getting spotted in the break room is a sign of slacking by management

Pros

Sadly, none that I can think of at this point.

Cons

This company is owned and operated by one family who puts their insatiable need to control everyone and put as much money as possible in their own pockets, above all else. All business decisions are driven by theses two factors no matter the impact on the company or their employees. The astounding lack of professionalism and disrespect for employees is on display every day at every turn by the owners. Company culture is best defined by this, “You will be in the office 5 days a week and we are monitoring the parking lots to see if you arrive late or try to leave early. We don’t trust any of you no matter how long you’ve worked for us or how much you do for the company.” Good people show up every day to work at this place and the best you can hope for is to avoid the owners so as to not get sucked into their self-absorbed orbit. This may come across as a review from a disgruntled employee with an axe to grind, it is not. I was able to grow professionally despite the environment. My reason for writing this review is to share my experience so future employees have a peek behind the curtain of Synqor. I would hate to see a young professional choose Synqor and pass on an opportunity that values self development, growth potential, and overall career success. Also, the comp plans offered are always below market value with no raises or any sort of opportunity for growth. I will end with this.. Proceed with caution, better yet.. don’t proceed at all!
