PCA has great benefits that my previous company didn't offer. A few of the benefits that grabbed my attention were: 1). they pay up to a certain amount of $ towards your student loans every year; 2) they pay 100% for your education (Associate's, Bachelor's, or Master's), 3) when gas prices go up they add a little extra to your check, 4)cheaper health, dental & vision insurance, 5) family oriented, 6) recognize & rewards the efforts of their employees, 7) different activities for employee engagement, 8) friendly, calm working environment, 9)allows flexibility with your schedule if need be 10) room to grow within; etc.

Cons

Need help; short staffed in some departments; But still amazingly awesome compared to where I came from!

Decent benefits that continue to evolve and improve. For the most part great people to work with.

Cons

You are evaluated by numbers. Management gets so hung up on those numbers they treat their employees as numbers, more than a valued employee. There are a lot of tasks required to do the job. Not all generate the numbers that go into what management sees. So it's not an accurate system of measuring an employee's work ethic, or value to the company. No work/life balance.There is little to no flexibility in scheduling time off. If you don't have requests in at least 2 months in advance, chances are you aren't getting the time off you need. We all have last minute events that come up and the understanding of and flexibility just isn't there. Overtime is also an expectation, frowned upon if you don't participate. You're also required to work every 3rd weekend which is obviously never fun and can be fixed.

In your area you are correct productivity is measured and to be fair to all team members we have to set standards. We do not ever treat employees based on just one factor and I think our reviews state that clearly, but if we have employees that do not meet basic expectations we must address performance fairly. We understand PCA may not be the right fit or a specific position may not be the right fit for everyone! Our Indianapolis office was just recognized for the best Customer Service Pharmacy of the year based on ratings by their customers, they also were in the top 3 for employee service scores. We have residents that are relying on us for their medications and we are committed to delivering the right medication to those residents timely so we do need a commitment of understanding from our team members of how important they are to this process! WE take our employees and the lives of those we service seriously! Thank you again for your time!
