Not a place to work if you want to be recognized for your abilities

Pros

There are very few pros to list. basically benefits like Trilogy perks, vision and dental benefits. East end location near lots of restaurants.

Cons

Company hires new people with less experience and knowledge instead of promoting knowledgeable, hard-working, dedicated employees from within. There is a lot of favoritism. Company states there is an open door policy which is not true. If you state something that the supervisor doesn't like during an open door discussion, you can and will be written up. It has happened to more than one employee. There is also a lot of bullying that goes on. Management does nothing when it is brought to their attention. Possibly because some of the bullying is done management themselves. If you have a passion to serve and do a good job, look elsewhere. Your passion will be wasted and your good job will be overlooked, unless you are a personal friend of someone in management.

Thank you for your review and I hope you have found a company that is better suited for you. We appreciate your 8 years of service and very sorry that you were not recognized appropriately. We have a very robust recognition program and each year with have a Team Member of the Year at each location, it is PEER nominated and voted on. As a growing company we have had a lot of promotions in the past 3 years which 75% of these individuals were current team members who have made very positive contribution to PCA's growth and success. Again thank you for your review and we are sorry that PCA was not what you wanted in a company.

Needs to be more employee focused and needs to care less about making money

Trilogy perks discounts, health and dental benefits, sometimes changes procedures with positive outcome

Cons

New hires get hired on making more than long term employees regardless if they have more or less experience, long term employees get overlooked for promotions, they promote people who have no idea how to do the job, they tolerate negativity and do not do anything about bullying/harassment, the pay is terrible compared to other places, yearly raises are usually a small percentage of what you currently make if they even give you one at all, too many meetings ending in nothing accomplished, company complains about budget but then will cater every meeting, there is no employee recognition, exceeding expectations gets you nowhere at this company

Thank you for your review! We are sorry that you seem unhappy at PCA but we do not tolerate bullying or harassment if we know about it and have made changes with several team members because of this. We also require all team members to go through training on both bullying and harassment! Please talk with the appropriate leadership person to address this. Working in an environment that you described is not pleasant for anyone and one that PCA will not tolerate! We have a lot of positive and happy team members, I hope you see the positive changes at PCA as e continue to strive to improve!
