Pros

Benefits, WFH, Flex Fridays, & Pay

Cons

Very political. People are hired or promoted based on who they know and not on talent. Synchrony says it wants to be more innovative and become a digital first company, but lack of experience in management prevents this growth. Processes are very redundant & teams are resistant to change. Great place if you have no life outside of work, as you are expected to participate in ‘employee resource groups’ in your free time- if you don’t you’ll be looked down on & penalized by not being promoted.

Pros

Medical, Dental, etc. benefits are good. Employees pay based on their salary. The less your salary, the less you pay for your benefits. The higher your salary, the more you pay for your benefits.

Cons

After completing the required time as a Call Center Representative, get out of the role by applying internally for other positions as soon as you can. Being a Call Center Representative means you have no control over your schedule, you can't even get up to use the bathroom unless it's during your strictly designated 15 minute break or 30 minute lunch and you will be verbally abused by customers all day while the company does not do anything to support you. If a customer complains about you and you did nothing wrong, you will get written up. It's a very stressful and demeaning job.
