Pros

Remote work is available. Great benefits. Lots of activities and organizations within the company to participate in. Open door policy. Growth within company is very easy due to interpersonal hiring.

Cons

Too much focus on getting the "Great Place To Work" reward and not enough focus on how to keep employees happy and coming back. Huge turnover due to companies call center policies when dealing with irate customers (no one wants to be cursed out, belittled, called out of their names three times before they can disconnect contact. It's literally abuse! ). Although growth within company is fairly easy, the process of moving to another department, and/or getting promoted to a higher position is sort of off-putting when the deciding factor is not based on your performance and skills, but whether or not your current manager sees fit to allow you to move to another department.

Pros

If you are not a good leader, Synchrony will put you in their highest position.

Cons

Leadership announced a 3% pay increase for exempt employees to compensate for inflation. I guess inflation doesn’t affect hourly employees, or leaders needed it for their increased country club fees. Second- inflation is 8.5% - cheapskates.

Pros

Weekly Pay Pay Rate Overtime Work from home Schedule Some managers are nice, mine was not.

Cons

The company is not as organized as they think they are. You are Surveillance on everything, you must be accounted for on the minute. Micromanaged, which is crazy making. A very dated system, makes it harder for CSRs to do their jobs efficiently. The system is not user friendly. No real support from leadership for new employees. Any questions, you are constantly directed to find answers on your own in their own version of google docs called genius, a dated and very broad, not quite as helpful (as they make it seem) doc. Coaching sessions were just a negative bashing session, no matter how great you thought you were doing, they will find something to "coach" you on. Customers are allowed to berate and be condescending to the CSRs. Unless they use colorful language, you must service them. You are expected to work every single holiday unless you request it off...and you only do that if there are hours available on the calendar. if you are new good luck trying to get those holidays off. They will wipe out the calendar, making it difficult for you to take time off. They use words like "Family", it felt very cult like. Some of the leadership are nice-nasty.
