Thank you for sharing your experience from long ago. While I am not sure the timeframe of your employment, I'm hopeful you shared this feedback with the HR team and your direct supervisor during your transition out. We believe that understanding where we once were as an organization helps with the appreciation of where we are today. Over the last 4 years, Syndigo has grown extremely fast, which has definitely caused us to experience a few growing pains. With that said, we have worked extremely hard on our area's of opportunity, that come through feedback from our team members, to improve the overall experience for all employees. We will continue to strive for perfection in this area, but the hard work was recently rewarded as Syndigo was named a Best Place to Work for 2022 (https://www.builtinchicago.org/companies/best-large-places-to-work-chicago-2022).

Pros

- Good benefits, and decent pay. That's about it.

Cons

- Will try to keep you at the same level and position so they don't have to get someone else to do your job. - No advancement within company. - Sloppy management with no inter-department communication. - Raises under inflation. - Software architects are rude and act like children when you ask a question. - Constant restructuring and reorg while also absorbing newly acquired companies. - You will have a different manager every few months that doesn't work in the same department as you, nor has any idea what your position entails. - There's a lot more, but this is just a toxic and sloppy company that's trying to hold it's head above water by monopolizing their business space.

Pros

Really smart co-workers and people who readily serve as mentors, bomb snacks and endless La Croix (my love language), culture committee that actually brings about change, consideration/ down right kindness from leadership with regards to my health needs, freedom to build/shape/grow my role.

Cons

Growing pains related to the acquisition, clunky communication, lack of structure/ consideration of all possible impact with regards to quick decisions that get made by leadership
