Pros

The only pro I can think of is that there are some very smart individuals stuck in this company that you can be miserable with.

Cons

Please read the reviews and take them seriously. This company is a shell of a lot of really incredible start-up companies that Syndigo purchased and destroyed. They start by breaking all the technology they purchase by integrating it into one poorly built platform that is not sustainable. They sell technology that doesn't exist; they lie in the sales cycle to multi-million dollar corporations. If you want your reputation ruined, this is a good place to start. The executives have no idea how to run a company. I have no idea how they have continued as long as they have. I was embarrassed to work here and only did work here because I was sold off when the start-up I was at was acquired. Work-life balance is non-existent. you will work 24/7 and get nothing done, with 12-14 hours of internal time-wasting meetings a day. You will feel like your dying each day and dread work. The investment company that backs Syndgo needs t take a hard look at what they are investing in because it is all smoke and mirrors. Nothing actually works or is planned ever to work. If you have integrity or personal ethics, you will have a tough time turning a blind eye to this company's daily violations.

Pros

If you’re planning to stay in this space, you‘ll learn the basics of ecomm and how retailers + brands operate which can be useful for a future role.

Cons

Management & Culture: You’ll find about 2-3 managers in this company that actually care about their team’s well-being, workload, and opinions. There’s always a lot of talk about changing processes and improving ways of working but the actual change never comes. This is a boys club through and through and unless you’re in the tight inner circle of decision makers, you will not be heard. Product: The product is shaky and constantly changing without any warning to clients or internal account teams and while it’s come a long way the more companies they acquire the more steps back they’ll take. DE&I: The reviews that mention this company cares about DE&I are not true. The meetings were pointless, topics are filtered based on what upper MGMT deems “appropriate”, and this is most definitely a box to check being that this company is 75% white. Do yourself a favor and scroll through the leadership team listed on their website, that will tell you what you need to know. Overall, be prepared to constantly lie to your clients, damage your reputation with big players in this business, and be the punching bag internally. Management is so blinded with the “vision” that the platform will never be the problem. There is minimal training and your coworkers might be helpful but everyone is drowning in so much work — this includes middle mgmt — you’ll have to learn the role yourself. This place is a revolving door and even the clients notice. You will be expected to take on an unmanageable workload as more people quit.

Pros

Flexibility. Innovative work and projects

Cons

Management is highly egotistical and dysfunctional. It is more like a bunch of frat boys than it is business. But...senior females are not much better. CFO is nasty to people; is rude...sharp...abrasive. CIO is not transparent. Pulls out the “woe is me card” too often. Does she have a. clue that people with far less financial security suffer from much worse? Company does awesome stuff but these leaders are self-centered
