As a government contractor, Synergy has a vacation flexibility policy that does vary based on our customer’s requirements. We know vacation and time off are important for the mental and physical health of our employees and are keen to provide it when we can, but it may not always be possible due to the nature of our work and our customers.

Thank you for your review on Synergy. We are pleased to offer above-market compensation for our employees. We are similarly able to offer a challenging but satisfying workplace due to the services we provide to our customers, but we certainly understand that micromanagement and burnout can quickly turn “challenging” to “frustrating.” Employees are strongly encouraged to speak with their manager about burnout or to HR about micromanagement if they are struggling with these experiences in the workplace. Our number one goal is the safety and wellbeing of our employees, but your communication to us is invaluable in knowing what is happening in your team.

Good benefits and competitive salary

Like other one star reviews, the problem starts with the management. They have grown from 50 to 350 but they operate like a 5 people company. They bring you in for your expertise, promise a different role during the interview but you end up with a much less desired position that is constantly micromanaged. The top management gets involved in everything and wants to make every decision regardless of what feedback the team or employees give them. There is no career here and its a constant revolving door. I am surprised how they still manage to survive. If you are planning to join, save your energy and go work somewhere else.

Thank you for your review of your experience at Synergy—we’re sorry to hear it was not pleasant for you. Our management has no intention to micromanage, as we understand that it is counterproductive. Synergy rewards employees with above-market compensation and manages them by providing context and setting goals and objectives. However, in some cases, a greater degree of management may be necessary so that an employee can successfully achieve their goals and objectives. Employees who require that level of assistance may feel micromanaged, but this type of management is not the norm for the vast majority of our staff who consistently meet or exceed their performance goals and objectives.
