Syngenta is a great place to being a career because it truly values it's employees and their unique potential. An employee can begin in one area of the company and gain experience and move into almost any other area of the company.

Awesome people to work with, good benefits.

Cons

No long-term strategy, initiatives change constantly, as do safety initiatives, software tools, expectations and company organization. People don't seem to matter much to upper management, there are frequent layoffs as changes occur and there is no strategic direction (or if there is, it's not communicated well to anyone outside the board room). The constant change creates a lot of extra work and cornfusion. Oops, I meant confusion. Salaried employees should expect to work 60+ hours per week in Hawaii, maybe elsewhere as well.
