      Pros

      Syngenta is filled with highly professional, highly capable people but is at the same time a very relaxed atmosphere. The internal politics is minimal and one rarely feels that they are in an unhealthy competition with others.

      Cons

      There tends to be a focus on the near term, often to the detriment of long term thinking. In certain areas (lower to middle management, especially), the company is under-resourced, so there simply isn't time to think strategically. There is also a drive toward more open office environments, which is often distracting and restricts employees' abilities to think and plan versus simply work on the current tactical issues.

      Pros

      Good lower Management, especially in my area. They work hard to keep us happy, even with budget cuts, recruitment freezes.

      Cons

      Budget cuts. Recruitment freezes. Upper Management not listening to the 'little' people. Too much corporate bull.
