Pros

Great industry to work in, feels like one makes a real impact Great work life balance at least in global and regional roles Benefits are reasonably good

Cons

Lack of focus, spreading resources too thinly across questionable initiatives Very limited career progression, all depending on who you know Very poor career planning for mid-level managers compared to competitors Horrendously complex matrix - paralysis by analysis and everyone wants to have a say No culture of grooming talent, line managers too busy protecting their own turf Leaders change every 2 years wreaking havoc with strategy and implementation Top heavy, unhealthy Meeting and PowerPoint culture to the detriment of delivering business on the ground ICS strategy not very innovative

Pros

They faked everything about role, profile and work culture. Salary hike is ok but not exceeded expectation if yours then be conscious. This experience is regarding the Global Delivery Center of Syngenta Pune.

Cons

Let's talk about profile: - you will get it on paper may be interviewer also ask some fancy and technical question but don't get excited you been foolish by them. No work no life only politics because no one has a good work to do by their technical profile. All are working as call center agents Growth:- NO growth @all . There is not vertical or horizontal growth. You will get a boss or feel like a boss but no skill development. Even if you are joining next no team under you or forget about team management skill development. Skill and skill development: - once you are on-board nobody give an attention to your expertise you have to live with what you get in your plate Want some examples here you go... Ex: There was no mention of shift work, yet ppl are being forced to come in shifts. They are called service delivery managers and work done by third parties. The worst part is the vendors do not have shifts for engineers who support Syngenta. It's nothing more then some coordination between vendors and user community where vendor has more powers then you ...LoL....still wana come, you are most welcome have fun...

Cold environment, poor level of managers. Poor link between HQ to line (strategy to operation).
