      Pros

      Fast-paced and challenging environment, dynamic people with a positive attitude and strong work ethic. Very little bureacracy (although this has its downside too - see "cons") allowing for quick decision making.

      Cons

      Very little formal management process in place - it works on a small scale, but would be difficult to scale. No formal career development program.

      Pros

      The best reason to work for Synopsys is the quality if talent you work with everyday. There are bright people all around and its great to work with them everyday.

      Cons

      Career growth is limited since the company is not growing. Especially if you are part of the some of the more established business units.

      Pros

      Good business growth, good communications from senior levels, great community support.

      Cons

      Very US centric in decision making, the company have out grown their ability to manage everything through head office but continue to believe that good ideas can only come from there. They do not fully understand their international operations.
