      Pros

      Good pay and benefits. People here are smart and generally motivated. Fast paced environment, if you like that.

      Cons

      The organization has grown so large, the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing in many cases. After a few quarters, it's easy to throw away or bury an acquired product when nobody is looking, in favor of your own product you've been working on for years. Very political.

      Pros

      Synopsys has a great team of talented and friendly people. The work atmosphere is good, without any overt politicking. The hours are flexible.

      Cons

      The priorities for projects keep changing at short notice. It is hard to correlate the day to day activities with the bigger picture.
