Synopsys use ancient custom-built technologies leading to too much reinventing the wheel; hiring policy values intelligence and PhD qualifications over SW development competency leading to poor SW design, bizarrely over-complicated architecture, vast code duplication and endless consistency issues. Management do not get it, no matter how many times you tell them. Office location is awful. Promotion is frustratingly opaque.

Salary freezes, bonuses paid according to cronyism; 24/7 workload expected Middle managers who are out for themselves only! One on ones are a joke, as managers don't want to hear your questions or feedback, they just want to load on more assignments. Employees never hear praise or appreciation - only hear about when something is wrong. There are a lot of two faced people there - especially in middle management.
